Marjorie "Margie" L. Moyer, 92, of Wauseon died Wednesday, Nov. 22, 2017, in CHP Defiance Area Hospice Center, Defiance. She was born Nov. 20, 1925, in Colorado Springs, Colo., to the late Jesse and Beatrice M. (Turner) Jackson. She married Robert Moyer on Feb. 9, 1946, and moved to Mt. Cory, Ohio. Robert preceded her in death on May 13, 2003.
Margie was a member of Christ United Methodist Church in Wauseon. She worked in floral shops and operated her own beauty shop, and worked on the family farm. Margie was very active in Mt. Cory and Pandora churches. She loved to entertain and play cards. She made throws for her family and friends.
Survivors include two sons, Tom (Jane) Moyer of Wauseon and Dean (Cass) Moyer of Stanley, N.C.; one daughter, Diane Moyer of Warner Robins, Ga.; six grandsons, Andrew (Jacki) Moyer, Ben (Jessica) Moyer, Brian (Lauren) LaRue, Austin (Ashley) LaRue, Ethan Moyer, and Wesley Moyer; and eight great-grandchildren, Payton, Addison and Brooklyn Moyer, Trenton Moyer, Avery and Paisley LaRue, and Madelyn and Mason LaRue.
She was also preceded in death by her son, James Moyer, and she is the last of 11 brothers and sisters.
Funeral services were held Friday, Nov. 24, 2017, in Christ United Methodist Church in Wauseon, with Rev. Michael A. Berne officiating. Interment followed in Clymer Cemetery, rural Mt. Cory, Ohio.
Arrangements were entrusted to Edgar-Grisier Funeral Home in Wauseon.
Memorial contributions may be made to CHP Defiance Area Inpatient Hospice Center, 6817 State Route 66 N, Defiance, Ohio 43512.
