Bonnell, Sr., Alfred

Alfred J. Bonnell, Sr., 69, of Fond du Lac, died Thursday, November 10, 2016, at home.

He was born on March 12, 1947, in Fond du Lac, a son of John H. and Rosemary Rieden Bonnell.

On May 23, 1970, he married Pamela J. Neumann at Hope Lutheran Church.

Alfred worked for 40 years in construction. He was a member of Wisconsin Labor Union 1086 and Sturgeon for Tomorrow. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, sturgeon spearing, and NASCAR.

He is survived by his wife, Pamela; three sons: Harold (Mara) Bonnell of Fond du Lac,

Alan (Jennifer) Bonnell of Mukwonago, and Alfred Bonnell, Jr. of Fond du Lac; eight grandchildren; one brother: Donald Bonnell of Milwaukee; three sisters: Claudia Bonnell of Oshkosh, Linda (Dennis) Anderson of Florida, and Jacquelyne (Patrick) Schumde of Fond du Lac; a brother-in-law, Archie Hobbs of Rosendale; and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Robert John Bonnell; a brother, Edward; an infant sister, Mary Faith; and two sisters: Yvonne and Dorothy.

At Alfred's request, there will be no visitation or service. Cremation has taken place.
