Benjamin Gleason Obituary

Gleason, Benjamin C.

Benjamin C. Gleason, 27, of Madison, died on Monday, March 11, 2013.

Ben was born July 22, 1985, in Beaver Dam, the son of Neil Gleason and Deborah Jabas. Ben attended Waupun schools and later graduated from Northwest Academy in Naples, ID. Ben worked as a log home builder in Grand Lake, CO. He later attended MATC in Madison and was employed at various restaurants in Madison as wait staff and other positions. He loved hip hop music and enjoyed making beats and creating songs with friends. He was a good basketball and soccer player, learning the latter when the family lived a year in Scotland. Ben loved his dog, Emmy, who was deaf, but Ben was able to teach her sign language. Ben enjoyed the Green Bay Packers, the Wisconsin Badgers, and the Milwaukee Bucks. He and his parents often played feisty Scrabble matches together. Much of Ben's time was spent at Connections Counseling in Madison, where he received guidance and loving kindness from peers and a truly wonderful staff.

Ben is survived by his loving parents, Neil Gleason and Deborah Jabas of Waupun; his sister, Emily (Erik) Wettersten of Golden, CO; maternal grandmother, Nancy Bruce of Summit Lake, WI; and aunts, uncles, cousins, and his special dog, Emmy.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents and maternal grandfather.
