Carol Ann Foerster, age 75, passed away at Theda Clark in Neenah on Saturday, October 10, 2015, surrounded by her family, and in doing so, the world lost an astoundingly kind, caring, loving, beautiful and strong woman. She was born in Fond du Lac on August 12, 1940 the daughter of the late Edward and Rose (Schilowsky) Balthazor. Carol was an exceptional nurse and worked at numerous healthcare facilities. She had a loving and compassionate bedside manner. Carol greatly enjoyed her spirituality group, the Church Folk Choir, and the Chicken Little Club. In retirement she graciously volunteered her time with hospice while dealing with a multitude of her own medical issues associated with Lupus. She treasured her family and friends, her cat, Kate, and most of all, her grandchildren.

Carol is survived by her children: Wendy (Rich Fleury) Fabisiak, Lisa (Mark) Weiher and Michael (Leah) Foerster; grandchildren: Beth and Emily Fabisiak, Allie and Zach Weiher, and Ian and Lauren Foerster; sisters: Mary Haensgen and Patricia (Larry) Wendt; and Kiley and Leah Fleury. She was preceded in death by her sister, Jayne Copet.

A memorial service celebrating Carol's life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 17, 2015 at SACRED HEART CATHOLIC CHURCH, 200 S. Peters Ave., Fond du Lac. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Entombment will be at Calvary Cemetery, Fond du Lac, immediately following the service.

Carol was one of unusual people who just seemed to be filled with goodness. While she had lupus for some time, she never seemed to dwell on her issues. I worked with her and Wendy, too, on physical rehab at the hospital. She truly was a rare gift, now to be remembered by her family and grandchildren, hopefully with smiles for all she was and all the good she brought to this world. Grace and peace to Carol's family.

We didn't know Carol as well as we would have liked, but we know a great deal about her due to our friendship with her lovely daughter, Wendy. Both amazing women, there can be no doubt as to the contribution Carol made to this world! She was always gracious, honest, and caring, and I pray she is resting comfortably now! Wendy, Lisa, Mike and all of Carols Family, So sad for Your loss. Your Mom was a loving, caring and humble person. I used to tell her time spent with her made me feel like I had been to church. God's love and light shined through in Your Mom and she passed that on to everyone she met. She is now with Our Lord and has perfect peace.

I went to nursing school with Carol and although we lost touch after that, I've always remembered her as the kind, positive woman that it's clear she was, by reading these comments. She was in a very stressful time of her life when I knew her and yet I always think of her with a smile on her face every day. So very sorry for your loss, but what a blessing to have known her for even a short time.

Dear Mary, it is with the fondest of memories that I remember the Balthazor family and with regret that I have learned of Carol's passing. The Perrizo family grew up just a block from yours and we spent many years together enjoying neighborhood fun. Carol was the Home Care nurse to my dad when he was very ill and in the last staes of his life. I will always remember her words of encouragement and comfort in our difficult time.
