Celia M. Nehls 91 years old of Lady Lake, Fl. Passed away on January 3rd, 2017 at The Villages Hospice home. She was born Nov. 12, 1925 to Pat and Agnes Donovan in Adams County. She was united in marriage to Douglas H. Nehls on May 1st, 1947 in Juneau, WI. Celia was a member of St Timothy's parish. She was also a member of the VFW an American Legion. Celia graduated from Fox Lake High School in 1943 and attended FDL Commercial College for 2 years. Doug and Celia owned a bar and grocery store in Leroy for 15 years before she started to work in the restaurant business working at the Wild Goose Inn and managing the Pub in Mayville. Celia loved to cook and bake, she also enjoyed bingo and cards. Celia is survived by her children Douglas L. of the Villages, David and Beverly of Fond du Lac. Scott and (Terra) of Brownsville. Four grandchildren, Jody Lauer and Aaron Pilsner, Adam and Ashley Nehls. Two great-grandchildren, Eva and River Lauer. One sister Wilma Murphy of Florida. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Douglas H. Nehls and one brother Robert Donovan, one Sister Patricia Gerstad. Visitation will take place at Annunciation Parish Fox Lake, Wi. Friday January 20th, 2017 from 12 until 2 followed by Memorial mass and a luncheon at the American Legion. Cremation will take place and ashes will be laid to rest at a later date. The family would like to thank the Villages Hospice Home staff for their carrying and concerns. In lieu of flowers there will be a memorial for Celia.
