David Strutz Obituary
Green Lake - David A. Strutz, 67, of Green Lake, died Monday, June 18, 2018 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born August 15, 1950 in Oshkosh, the son of Arthur and Bernice Lierman Strutz. On October 7, 1972 he married Judith A. Rabe at First Baptist Church in Fond du Lac. David worked at Mercury Marine for 43 years, retiring in 2016. He was a member of Memorial Baptist Church and a proud member of International Association of Machinist and Aerospace Workers Lodge 1947. David enjoyed fishing, boating, carpentry, listening to The Beatles, watching the Packers and the Bears, and loved spending time with his grandchildren. David will be remembered for his strong work ethic, great generosity, and raising his children and grandchildren to be independent and hard working.
He is survived by his wife, Judy; two daughters, Katie (Corey) Kleist of Baraboo and Mindy (Nathan Schafer) Parish of Whitefish Bay; two grandchildren, Connor and Rebecca Kleist, and a grandson due in July; his mother, Bernice Strutz of Fond du Lac; four siblings, Dennis (Jennie) Strutz of Middleton, Jerome Strutz of Fond du Lac, Roy (Lynn) Strutz of Green Lake, and Linda (Steven) Schneider of Fond du Lac; his mother-in-law, Rosaline Rabe of New Holstein; many brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, other relatives and his grand dogs, Sochi and Ani. He was preceded in death by his father, Arthur and father-in-law, George Rabe.
The visitation will be held Sunday, June 24, 2018 from 3:00 - 6:00 PM at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home and again on Monday from 10:00 - 11:00 AM at the funeral home.
The funeral service will be held Monday, June 25, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home with Rev. Brian Hastings officiating. Burial will follow in Ledgeview Memorial Park Cemetery.
Memorials are appreciated in David's name to Green Lake Angler Young Angler Tournament.

My condolences to the entire family. David and I were close childhood friends. I spent many days after school at his house and we both attended Memorial Baptist. Having David as a friend was a real blessing. He was a super nice guy. I share in your sadness.
