James Greuel Obituary

James Edward Greuel

James E. Greuel passed away unexpectedly in his home on April 29, 2020. He was 63 years old.

He was born on December 23, 1956 to Elmer and Mary Greuel in Fond du Lac WI. He attended grade school at St. Mary's and graduated from Goodrich High School in 1974. Afterwards, he moved to Texas, where he lived in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area for the remainder of his life. While living in Texas, he earned a master mechanic certification, leading to a career and hobby of working on cars. He had a passion for Opel GTs.

James loved to read anything he could get his hands on. He enjoyed nothing better than sharing a drink and a long conversation. He always had a story about his beloved cat, Orion.

James is survived by his 2 brothers and 1 sister; Steve (Nina) Greuel of Beloit, Barb (Blair) Mills of Fond du Lac, John (Bridget) Greuel of Mequon and his brother-in-law Rich (Pat) Perlberg of Des Moines IA. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Jayne Perlberg and his nephew, Michael Greuel.

James will be buried next to his parents in St. Charles Cemetery in Fond du Lac. A private ceremony will be held at a later date.
