Jamie Sue (Johnson) Schwartz, 42, of Dresser, WI, died unexpectedly at home on July 11, 2015.

Jamie was born on February 18, 1973, in Fond du Lac, WI, to parents, Susan (Abhold) Gusse and Duane Johnson and grew up in the Fond du Lac area attending Goodrich High School and later Moraine Park Technical College. On May 30, 2004, Jamie married Peter Schwartz and they had two children.

Jamie is survived by her daughter, Emma, son, Owen, and husband, Peter of Dresser, WI; mother and stepfather, Susan and Michael Gusse, St. Croix Falls, WI; father and stepmother, Duane Johnson and Mary Jo Keating, Fond du Lac, WI; paternal grandmother, Phyllis Erickson, Fond du Lac, WI; brother, Jesse Johnson and wife, Emilie, Jacksonville, FL; brother, Justin Johnson, Fond du Lac, WI; brother, Tyler Gusse and his wife, Lisa, Cushing, WI; brother, Adam Gusse and his wife, Kim, Lake Mills, WI; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews, and in-laws.

Jamie was a Registered Nurse who worked from home for United Healthcare, most recently as a case manager for Kidney Resource Services division. She worked in renal care for most of her career starting out as a CNA, then LPN, earned her RN and became nurse manager of a successful dialysis clinic in Milwaukee. Jamie was passionate about caring for her patients and helping to make their difficult battle with kidney disease as painless as possible through treatment and education.

Jamie was funny, compassionate, intelligent and driven to succeed. She was a loving, caring mother and wonderful wife. She enjoyed the outdoors, was an avid deer hunter and a crack shot. Jamie found joy collecting agates and other interesting rocks. She was also fascinated by Monarch butterflies and loved gathering the caterpillars and watching them transform. Jamie had quite the eye for morels and liked harvesting them every spring and often-found deer sheds in the process. Jamie enjoyed many crafts and liked whittling walking sticks, knitting blankets and using her creativity to make all kinds of different decorations for around the house.

There was a Celebration of Jamie's Life held Sunday, July 19th at the French Room of the Dalles House in St. Croix Falls, WI.

In lieu of flowers, an educational fund in Jamie's name has been set up for Emma and Owen at: jamieschwartzmemorial.mydagsite.com

Bugs, I was so sorry to hear about Jamie. I saw Mike Huber at a gun show in Crivitz and he told me, so I had my daughter, Kay, check the paper in FDL. You and her family are in our prayers. Take care, my friend.
