Breiner, Javan F.
Javan Frank "Bud" Breiner, 99, formerly of Oshkosh, was born into eternal life on July 22, 2011, after a brief stay at the Hospice Home of Hope in Fond du Lac.
He was born in Mandan, N.D. on Dec. 9, 1911, the son of Michael and Anna Breiner.
On Sept. 12, 1933, Javan married Eleanor Ripple in Mandan, N.D.
Javan proudly and courageously served his country during World War II, as a member of the U.S. Navy. He served in the Asiatic-Pacific theatre.
Upon the end of his tour he returned to Oshkosh,
Wis. where his wife Eleanor and their two daughters had relocated while he was away defending his country.
Javan worked for 35 years as a heavy equipment operator for Ganther Construction in
Oshkosh. He was very proud of his contributions to changing the Fox Valley landscape
with the construction of numerous schools, churches, office buildings, banks and government offices. He was a lifetime member of the Operating Engineers Local 139.
Those Bud leaves behind to cherish his memory include his daughter, Joanne (Donald) Walters of Fond du Lac; two sisters, Ruth Balch of Walla Walla Wash., and Eileen
Bodker of Tacoma Wash.; a son-in-law, David Erdmann of Colorado Springs Colo.', six grandchildren, Deborah Cohen of Colorado Springs, Colo., Timothy (Linda) Walters of Ansbach, Germany, Michael (Patricia) Walters of Stevens Point, Dr. Jeffrey (Rebecca) Walters of Fond du Lac, Darcel Erdmann of Colorado Springs Colo. and Lori
(Timothy) Kraemer of Plattsburg, N.Y.; 11 great-grandchildren, Michael and Megan Cohen and Cheyenne Barnard of Colorado Springs, Colo., Zachary and Austin Walters of Fond du Lac, Cody and Coiy Walters of Stevens Point, Elizabeth and Christopher Walters of Ansbach, Germany, and Owen and Amlalisc Walters-Kraemer of Plattsburg, N.Y.
Javan was welcomed into Paradise by his parents; his wife Eleanor; his daughter, Jean (David) Erdmann; all of his brothers: Walter, Hemy, Lloyd, Robert, Claude, and Kenny; and his sisters: Mable, Wilmuth, and Anne.
SERVICES: At Javan's request, no formal funeral services will be held.
He will be cremated and his cremains will be
intered at his final resting place at the St. Johns cemetery in Mandan, N.D., beside his beloved Eleanor and other family members.
Javan's family would like to thank Dr. Michael Sergi and the nurses and staff of the Hospice Home of Hope in Fond du Lac for all their care and love in making his final days as peaceful and comfortable as possible.
Memorials are appreciated in "Bud's" memory to the Hospice Home of Hope in Fond du Lac.
