Kathleen Behnke Obituary
Kathleen A. Behnke, 77, of Eldorado, died Thursday, October 22, 2015 at her residence. She was born April 14, 1938 in Neenah, the daughter of Arthur and Beatrice Burgeron Gannon. On June 23, 1956 she married John O. Behnke at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Fond du Lac. John preceded her in death on November 16, 2012. Kathleen was a member of Our Risen Savior Catholic Church. She waitressed at various restaurants in the area and worked in the cafeteria at Laconia High School until her retirement. Kathleen enjoyed fishing with her husband, gardening, playing cards, going to the casino, needlepoint, sewing, crocheting, cooking and baking.
She is survived by her five children, Jeff (Linda) Behnke of Waterford, Craig (Vicky) Behnke of Mountain, Rick (Joan) Behnke of Oshkosh, Steve (Belinda) Behnke of Rosendale, and Kim (Randy) Dean of Van Dyne; six grandchildren, Ryan and Alyssa Behnke, Jon and Jake Dean, Amanda and Daniel Behnke; one sister, Delores (Ed) Fenner of Fond du Lac; one brother, Mike (Charmayne) Gannon of Fond du Lac; one sister-in-law, Joan DeClue of Fond du Lac; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John; her in-laws, John Behnke and Ellen Kiefer; one brother, Duane "Buck" Gannon; and two brothers-in-law, David DeClue and Douglas Behnke.
The visitation will be held from 4:00 - 7:00 pm on Monday, October 26, 2015 at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home and again on Tuesday from 10:00 - 11:00 am at church.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, October 27, 2015 at Our Risen Savior Catholic Church, W8272 Forest Avenue, Eldorado, WI with Rev. Joseph Dominic officiating. Burial will follow in Ledgeview Memorial Park Cemetery.
