Luke Snortum Obituary

Snortum, Luke Matthew

Luke Matthew Snortum, 48, of Titanka, Iowa passed through the gates of heaven on August 27, 2014. Luke unexpectedly passed away quietly at home in his sleep, when he had a heart attack.

Luke Matthew was the 5th of six sons born to Dale and Helen (Woznick) Snortum on March 14, 1966. He was born, and lived in Fond du Lac for most of his life. Luke was a free spirit and independent thinker who was always willing to try things at least once. He led his life by his own rules and would not allow anyone to influence what he did or how he did it. He loved Jesus and accepted him as his personal Lord and Savior. He also loved his wife and family, family gatherings, gardening, hunting, fishing, riding his Harley, old cars, working on cars, wood carving, cracking jokes, and having fun. He also enjoyed watching the Packers, spending time 'shooting the breeze' with his siblings, a great debate, a really good cup of coffee, and calling his Dad during the Packer games to discuss the progress of the game. Luke will be sorely missed by all who knew him.

Luke is survived by his wife Lisa (Mullins) of Titanka, Iowa, 2 daughters, Amy Green of Brookville, Kansas and Nicole Thyrion of Milwaukee, WI. Luke was also blessed with, a son, Keith Ciaffarafa of Fond du Lac, WI, and a daughter Donna Ciaffatafa of Titanka, Iowa when married his wife Lisa on 2/14/04. Luke has 5 grandchildren, Austin Green, Nayeli Green, and Kheaven Washburne all of Brookville, Kansas; Giovanni Hanke of Milwaukee, WI; and Michelle Ciaffarafa of Titanka, Iowa. He is also survived by his father Dale Snortum Sr. and 2nd mother Lynn Snortum of Fond du lac, WI; 4 brothers, Dale Jr. (Cindy), Eden, WI; Mark (Trudy) of Deerfield, WI; Glen (Karen), Fond du Lac, WI; Paul (Linda Ramage), also of Fond du Lac. As a gift of his father's marriage to Lynn, Luke has 6 additional siblings. Surviving Luke are also his mother in law Bernice Mullins of Milwaukee; 23 nieces and nephews, 4 great nephews, multiple aunts, uncles, and cousins.
