Saw the shoes upon our entrance to Sun Prairie which lead us to your story. I have passed this page on to friends of mine in Oak Ridge TN who are also runners, that they may appreciate the life she lived as a kindred soul.
Much love to her family and friends, from Oak Ridge TN,

So sorry to hear of this tragedy. My husband & I and my sister knew Maureen when she was dating Tim Roberts. We had one very memorable fishing trip! Because we, too, lost a loved one to alcohol related incident...my heart goes out to all who knew and loved Maureen. May you all find peace! Chris Russell Allen & Becky Ryf

I didn't know Maureen but have known Bob and Jeff for many years. I also have fond memories of your Mom from when she worked at the Beer Hut. I learned about the tragedy while talking with Gilly today. My prayers are with you and your family. Our deepest sympathy to all the family and friends of Maureen.

Hi Mark Godina, it was me, Cathy Sesing, that came with Maureen to Germany in 1988!
We came b/c of your ex, Sarah, who invited us. We stayed one night in August-Mo & I were just 27 yr old(it was my birthday, the day you dropped us at the train station)! Yes, Mo was always full of energy-she was a life force & is dearly missed

My heart is saddened with the loss of Maureen. We grew up on the west side together, hooked back up in college, and created some WONDERFUL memories through our college years and after. Maureen and I haven't been in contact with each other in recent years, but if I ran into her in FDL; often at the mother/daughter dinners at the Eagles, Maureen and I could just pick up where we last left off. I'll always love her and remember her. I'm thanking Our Lord for His promise, and praying for His peace to enfold all who are mourning the tragic loss of our beautiful, compassionate, daughter, wife, mother, friend, sister in Christ. I pray for Blessings on ALL her loved ones. With sincere sympathy, love, and prayers, Trish (Patterson) Burns

This is a great sorrow, to lose someone who had so much to give to others, struck down without warning. "I am the Resurrection and the Life. He who believes in Me will not die."

My sincere thoughts with the Family Curran and Mengelt. My memory...1986 or 1987..Maureen showed up at my door while I was living in West Germany in a town called Erlensee. She was with a friend and they were traveling through Europe. She asked to stay a few days and they did. I asked how in the world of all places she knew I was there...never did get a good answer..she said at the door.."Hi, I am Maureen Curran, Eddie's little sister. Full of energy!
