Patrick Hoying Obituary
Patrick Joseph Hoying, 67, a resident of 552 Wakefield Avenue, passed away on Saturday January 11, 2014, at Harbor Haven Nursing Home, following a nine year battle with dementia.
He was born October 25, 1946 in Wauwatosa, WI, the only child of Albert and Alice Petroviak Hoying.
He was a graduate of Marquette University and later served in the United States Navy. Patrick worked in the insurance field, retiring from Society Insurance in 2005.
On September 16, 1995 he married Karen Knuth at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Fond du Lac. He was named after St. Patrick, and St. Patrick's Day was his special day. He loved sports and was an avid Packer fan.
Survivors include his wife Karen, of Fond du Lac, a son Benjamin Hoying, a son from a previous marriage, of Wauwatosa, numerous cousins and friends, and his Beagle, Clark.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation: The family will greet relatives and friends on Wednesday January 15, 2014 from 10:00 to 10:45 AM at Sacred Heart Church, Holy Family Parish, 200 South Peters Avenue, Fond du Lac.
Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM Wednesday at Sacred Heart Church.

Pat and I ran track at Jordan H.S. and were in NROTC at Marquette together. I was best man at his first marriage after we both were out of the Navy. I am truly sorry to hear of his passing.

Pat was my supervisor at Society Insurance for many years. I enjoyed working for him. Take comfort in knowing that now you have a special guardian angel to watch over you.
