Rachael Ballard-Dornbrook Obituary
Rachael R. Ballard Dornbrook, age 87, of Fond du Lac, died Tuesday, January 10, 2017 at Adelaide Place. She was born on May 24, 1929 in Curtis, WI, the daughter of Herman R. and Ida L. (Kiesow) Kohls. Rachael lived in Rosendale for thirty-eight years before moving to Fond du Lac. On March 5, 1946 she married Robert M. Ballard. He preceded her in death on April 15, 1993. On April 8, 1995 she married Leonard J. Dornbrook. He preceded her in death on May 4, 2002. Rachael worked for twenty-two years at Wells Manufacturing. She was a member of Community United Methodist Church in North Fond du Lac.
Survivors include her daughter, Karen Jorgensen of Ocala, Fl; sons, Lee (Yolanda) Ballard of Melbourne, FL, and Steve (Barbara) Ballard of Rosendale; step-sons, Richard (Denise) Dornbrook of WI, and Frank Dornbrook of WI; ten grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; ten step-grandchildren; six step-great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; both of her husbands; two brothers; and one sister.
Visitation will take place on Friday, January 13, 2017 from 10-11 AM at Community United Methodist Church, 701 Minnesota Ave, North Fond du Lac, WI, 54935. Funeral service will follow the visitation at 11:00 AM at the church. Burial will follow at Rosendale Cemetery.
