William Casper Obituary

Casper, William J.

William J. Casper, age 75, of Oshkosh, died Wednesday, April 29, 2015, at Theda Clark Medical Center. Born on March 26, 1940, in Milwaukee, the son of Stephen J. and Laura (Crowley) Casper, Bill married Susan Caton on August 14, 1965.

He served the Fond du Lac and Winnebago Counties as a Senior Chaplain. Bill was a people person, always ready to visit and help wherever there was a need. He took great pleasure affirming people and sharing the "Good News" of Jesus. He enjoyed puttering & tinkering with his rods & reels, and when he was not tinkering he enjoyed the water.

Survivors include his wife, Susan Casper of Oshkosh; their children, Sean (Melissa) Casper of Oshkosh, Molly (Scott) Liebelt of Oakfield, and Thi (Travis) Dorn of New London; grandchildren, Katie, Cody Ben, Michael, Eli, Coby, Mackenzie, and Isabelle; a sister, Jane (Olney) Sheahan; and a sister-in-law, Judy Casper. Bill is preceded in death by his twin brother, Stephen J. Casper, III.

A Celebration Service will be held on Monday, May 4, 2015, at 4:00 p.m. in Wyldewood Baptist Church, 3030 Witzel Ave., with Reverend Randall King officiating. A time of visiting and sharing of memories will be held on Monday from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the church.

Dear Casper Family,
Along with you I loved your wonderful husband and father. He has been a dear friend and I will miss him but know I'll get to enjoy him in God's kingdom. You'll have lonely times but God waits for you in the "secret place" and will comfort you. Psalm 91:1
