Kolstad, William J.

William J. Kolstad, 70, of Fond du Lac, died Saturday, July 6, 2013 at St. Agnes Hospital. He was born January 3, 1943 in Fond du Lac, the son of Lloyd C. and Dorothy M. Knar Kolstad.

He served in the U.S. Army following high school graduation. William worked as a millwright for the local union for many years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, woodworking, building bird houses, spending time on his land up north and most of all loved spending time with his granddaughters.

He is survived by two children, John (Cindy) Kolstad, Little Suamico and Amy (Mark) Schiltz, Pulaski; two granddaughters, Nicole and Katelyn Schiltz; six siblings, Barb Nett, Fond du Lac, Mary (John) Berkevich, Beaver Dam, Sue (Ron) Kolb, Plattsmouth, NE, David (Rose) Kolstad, Fond du Lac, Steve (Nancy) Kolstad, Fond du lac, Kate Kolstad, Sun Prairie; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and his step father, Clifford Wachs.

The visitation will be held from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 9, 2013 at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 9, 2013 at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home with Deacon Dale Paczkowski officiating. Cremation will follow the traditional services.
