William McKibbage Obituary
William K. McKibbage Jr., 61, of Oakfield passed away Monday, March 11, 2013. He was born January 13, 1952 a son of William and Myra (Hansen) McKibbage in International Falls, MN.
On June 19, 1982 William married Sandra Schad.
William is survived by his Wife, Daughters Casey (James) McKibbage, Cayla (Nick) McKibbage; son William McKibbage III; Grandaughters, HopeLynn, WillowAnn, SkyLeigh, RavenJoy. He is also survived by two sisters, Sharol McKibbage and Michele (Micheal) Wood and by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation: Family will greet relatives and friends Saturday, March 16, 2013 at the Zacherl Funeral Home, 875 E. Division St., Fond du Lac from 11:00AM to 12:45PM.
Service: At 1:00PM a Memorial Service of Christian Burial will take place.
A memorial in his name will be established.

My condolences to the McKibbage family. Bill's sister Shelley and I were inseparable all through middle school, and I have fond memories of when Bill was home and the house was lively and noisy and filled with fun. I am so very sorry to Bill's whole family for your loss. And Shelley, if you read this, I hope you feel the big hug I send your way.

Bill was my attorney 20 years ago. His help, advice, and friendship during the most difficult time in my life brought me through it and out of it. I am forever grateful to him. To the family of my childhood friend.... I had known Bill since the third grade but had not been in contact with him since he left Wisconsin Lutheran High School to attend University School. I always knew he was special and that just clinched the deal. By these comments from friends and colleagues I see he remained a uniquely kind and special person. I am truly sorry for your loss.

Bill went to Oxford. I went to Cambridge. He was a family lawyer. I am a criminal lawyer. I am forever grateful for his kindness as it was he who introduced me the lawyers and judges at the foot of the lake. We will all hear his voice in the words "My Friend." Bill was my friend. My friend Bill had a very smart heart. Let us all watch over his family as if they were our own. He would do that for us.

There is an absence in the Fond du Lac legal community that will never be filled. Bill was definitely one of a kind. I'll miss his humor (we could swap Ole & Lena Norwegian jokes) and his kindness. May your happy memories and funny stories ease your broken hearts.
