William Zubella Obituary

Zubella, William J.

William J. Zubella, 83, of Lomira, passed away on Saturday, June 30, 2012, at Holy Family Memorial Hospital in Manitowoc.

He was born on June 4, 1929, in Bevent, the son of the late John and Marie (Boschuetz) Zubella, and on December 7, 1974, he was united in marriage to Nancy Pumala in Menomonee Falls.

William was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Mayville and was employed by Ambrosia Chocolate Factory in Milwaukee. William served his country in the U.S. Air Force during the Cold War.

He will fondly be remembered as one who was a great problem solver and very mechanically inclined. He would often solve mechanical problems over the phone and was always willing to lend a hand to anyone that needed help.

Those William leaves behind to cherish his memory include his wife of 38 years, Nancy; his two children, Mike (Heidi) Zubella of Hartford and Cynthia (William) Hartzheim of Sheboygan Falls; two brothers, Jack Zubella of Sussex and Jerry (Laurie) Zubella of Stevens Point; a sister-in-law, Helen Zubella of Rudolph; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, William was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Zubella and a sister, Marion (Lloyd) Campbell.

Funeral services for William will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 5, 2012, at the Kietzer-Miller Funeral Home in Lomira with Pastor Barry Hoerz officiating. Military honors rites will follow the service and cremation will take place. Burial of his cremains will be at a later date in Theresa Union Cemetery in Theresa.

Relatives and friends may call on Thursday at the funeral home from 4:00 p.m. until the time of services.

Memorials to Holy Family Memorial Hospital in Manitowoc are appreciated.
