Karen Krueger Obituary
August 30, 1937 - February 23, 2025
Karen Krueger of Green Valley, AZ, and previously of Fergus Falls, MN, has passed away at the age of 87.
Karen was born in Minneapolis, MN to M.F. and Bernice Ledue; the family moved to Hibbing, MN and later to Fergus Falls. After graduating from Fergus Falls High School, Karen attended Cottey College in Nevada, MO for 1 year before transferring to Purdue University as a Home Economics Education major. She taught 1 year in Melrose, MN before marrying her high school sweetheart John Krueger and, as he was in the Navy, she became a Navy wife based in Long Beach, CA. Two children soon followed and after John left the service they returned to Fergus Falls. Two more children arrived in Fergus Falls, and Karen started teaching part time in Home Economics in middle school and high school, later becoming full time and completing 17 years as a teacher.
Karen is survived by her husband of 64 years, John Krueger; daughter Linda Rollins (Brent) of Mesa, AZ; son William Krueger of McKinney, TX; daughter Susan Krueger of New Hope, MN; daughter Julia Evjen (Jay) of Dassel, MN; granddaughter Amanda Grossmann (Eric) of St. Paul, MN; grandson Nicholas Krueger (Bryn) of Long Beach, CA; grandson Cole Evjen of Dassel, MN; grandson Trenton Evjen of Mankato, MN; grandson Memphis Krueger of McKinney, TX and 3 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Jeanne Lindell.
A Memorial Service will be held on March 22, 2025 at 11 a.m. at Lutheran Church of the Risen Savior 555 S. La Canada Dr. Green Valley, AZ 85614.
