George Darling Obituary

George H. Darling Sr., 88; of Hannibal, NY peacefully passed away at home Tuesday, September 23 rd, 2025; surrounded by his family. Mr. Darling was born in Granby, NY and has remained a lifetime resident of Hannibal, NY. He retired as a Foreman from CCA, Fulton where he was employed for over 30 years. Mr. Darling is survived by his wife of 70 years Carol Darling of Hannibal, NY; their 4 children: Lori (Martin) Jacobson of Hannibal, NY; George H. (Susan) Darling Jr., of PA; James (Theresa) Darling of Parish, NY and Gerald (Ruth) Darling of CT; and his brother Norman (Janice) Darling of Palmyra, NY. Mr. Darling is also survived by 8 grandchildren: Suzanne (Nathan) Gay, Amanda (Ryan) Murphy, Drew Jacobson, Casey (Alex) Darling-Horan, Lauren (Gerrit) Vanderwerff, James (Kimberly Cordell) Darling, Alexander (Daniel Preston) Darling and Trevor (Jessie Barron) Darling; 8 great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and beloved family pets. There will be a Calling Hour held Saturday, September 27th from 10:00 to 11:00 AM in the Sugar Funeral Home Inc., 224 W. 2 nd St. S., Fulton. The Funeral Service and Burial will be conducted privately. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to: Gentle Giants Draft Horse Rescue, 17250 Old Frederick Rd., Mt. Airy, MD 21771.
