Rick Roberts Obituary
Graveside services were held 1:00 PM, Tuesday, January 4, 2022 at Mt. Horeb Cemetery in Sturgeon.
Rick was born on April 3, 1934 in Sturgeon, the son of Ira Earl and Mary Katherine (Tribble) Roberts.
He was a 1953 graduate of Sturgeon High School. After graduation he spent four years in the United States Air Force and spent two years in Alaska.
Returning home from the service, Rick attended and graduated from Moberly Area Community College in 1959.
On November 18, 1965, Rick married Barbara Miller in Centralia. She preceded him in death in August of 2021. He had one daughter Michelle Roberts and she preceded him in death in August, 2021.
Rick worked for Panhandle Eastern Pipeline for many years, working at many locations, eventually retiring in 1991. After retirement, he and Barbara moved to Columbia to be near family. Because of health reasons, he and Barbara moved to Amarillo Texas in 2019 to be close to their daughter. After the death of both Barbara and Michelle, he moved to Centralia
In his younger days Rick enjoyed rebuilding cars. He also loved spending time with his family.
Rick is survived by a sister-in-law, Pat Austene of Hallsville and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial donations are suggested to the Mt. Horeb Cemetery Care Fund, and may be sent in care of Fenton-Kendrick Funeral Home, 104 S. Collier St. Centralia, MO 65240.
