Violet Huskey, 91, of Ashland passed away peacefully Thursday, March 19, 2026, at the Bluegrass Assisted Living in Ashland.

Family and friends are invited to Violet's Life Celebration 2:30 PM Saturday March 21, 2026, at the Hallsville Baptist Church with burial to follow in the Glendale Memorial Gardens in Centralia.

Visitation will be held from 1:30 PM until the time of the service on Saturday at the church.

Violet was born on June 13, 1934, in Boone County, the daughter of Benjamin Franklin and Marjorie Jewell (Breedlove) Turner.

On September 12, 1954, at the Hallsville Baptist Church, Violet married Gilbert Nelson Huskey and he preceded her in death on October 2, 2015.

Violet is survived by her daughter, Julie Ann Huskey of Ashland, son, Les Huskey of Ashland; grandchildren, Emily Aulgur (David), Megan Winfrey (Brandon), Hannah Parker, Allyssa Huskey (Dane Johnson), Jacob Huskey, Haley Huskey, and Leah Huskey; great-grandchild, Braxton Winfrey; sister-in-law Rinda Blakemore (Dale), brother-in-law, Eugene Huskey; special cousins, Mike Breedlove (Marta), Anna Breedlove, and Glenda Bell (Mike).

Along with her husband, Violet was preceded in death by her parents.

Violet was a longtime member of the Hallsville Baptist Church where she served many years as a church hostess. She was always strong on her faith and her principles.

She enjoyed adult coloring books, arranging flowers and reading her Bible. Violet was a great cook, she loved hosting family gatherings, spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She remembered everyone's birthday and never missed sending a card.

Memorial donations are suggested to the Hallsville Baptist Church, Mission Fund in care of Fenton-Kendrick Funeral Home 104 S. Collier St. Centralia, MO 65240.
