Barbara 81 Obituary

Fitchburg

Barbara Jane Lindamood, age 81, of Fitchburg, Massachusetts, passed away on January 29th, 2022, during a winter storm surrounded by her loved ones, after a long battle with dementia.

Barbara was born on January 5th, 1941 to Albert J. and Eva M. (Locke) Gallien. She left Fitchburg and lived overseas with her family in Peru, Laos, England, and Venezuela over a span of twenty-five years. She worked in Federal service for DEA and CIA, and for the private sector with 3M and RCA.

Barbara loved her family more than anything and took pride in hosting gatherings, making sure to create the most special holidays. She also loved watching Red Sox games, going for ice cream at Kimball Farm, and getting the best deal for "lobstah" at Market Basket. Barbara was always dancing to music and enjoyed talking to people wherever she went. Her hobbies also included traveling to England, teaching Sunday school, completing puzzles with friends, cutting coupons, finding the best bargains, and having picnics by the ocean.

She is survived by her daughters, Wendy Deyo and Laura Roach; granddaughters, Ashley Deyo, Lauren Deyo and Hannah Roach; great-grandchildren, Brantley Deyo and Adaline Krogsveen; and nephews and many friends. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Jean Brown, Norma Egge, and Alberta Senay; and her loving daughter, Karri Lindamood.

Her funeral service will be held on Monday, February 7, 2021 at 10AM in the Lunenburg Chapel of the Sawyer-Miller-Masciarelli Funeral Homes, 763 Massachusetts Ave. Lunenburg. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Leominster. There are no calling hours.

Barbara was my moms next door neighbor and we loved her with all our hearts . She and my mom kinda looked out for each other for a time. Barbara would come to make sure my mom was doing ok and they would chit chat about Barbara `s travels throughout her life. Mom and I loved to listen to her and we were amazed with her knowledge
of the world. Barbara loved hearing about our family and all our family parties!! They were a good pair and supported ea other. We were so very saddened to hear of her passing, but my mom will be so happy to see her as she passed last year. She was truly a lovely lady and we missed being able to see her.
God bless u all and give you strength in this time of great sorrow.

I want to take this time to exspress my sincere sympathy of the passing of your dear loved one. Barbara was such an amazing person . She lived near my grammie at Town and Country apartments so I was able to see her weekly. She and my grammie had so many beautiful luncheons and chats . She loved to cook and she sure loved you all so much . She will be your heavenly angel from above and what a beautiful Angel she is. I pray you remember all the beautiful memories you have during this difficult time .
