Beverly Serene Obituary

Beverly J. Serene of Townsend, formerly of Stoughton; 70 TOWNSEND Beverly J. (Granfield) Serene, 70, of Townsend, formerly of 10 Wilson Court, Stoughton, died Friday, November 7, 2008, at the Nashoba Valley Medical Center, Ayer. Mrs. Serene was born in Manchester, NH, October 5, 1938, a daughter of Edward and Evelyn (Dickinson) Granfield, and resided in Stoughton for over 30 years before moving here in 2004. For 12 years, Mrs. Serene worked in the finance department at The Geo Center in Needham. Prior to that, she worked at the Raytheon Corporation in Norwood, and also as a designer for the Rust Craft Greeting Card Company in Randolph. She is survived by two sons and their wives, C. Paul and Elizabeth Rousseau Serene, Alan E. and Cindy Serene of Oxford, two sisters; Barbara Harrington of Menife, California, Bettylou Pace of Sandown, NH. She also leaves 7 grandchildren, Nicole Rose, Elizabeth Rousseau, Adam Serene, Dylan Serene, Renee Serene, Christopher Serene, and Christina Serene. SERENE A funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 a.m., Tuesday, November 11th at St. John's Church, 1 School Street, Townsend. Interment in Brookdale Cemetery, Dedham will be private. Calling hours are 4-7 p.m., Monday at the T.J. Anderson & Son Funeral Home, 250 Main Street (Rte. 119) Townsend Center. Please see www.andersonfuneral.com for additional information.
