Beloved Wife, Mother and Grandmother

WESTMINSTER -- Cynthia L. (Benoit) Medeiros, 65, died Sunday, February 23, 2014, at UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester, after a brief illness.

She leaves her husband of 25 years Ronald L. Medeiros, three children, Louis Ascoli of Providence, RI, Patricia Scully of Pawtucket, RI, and Clifford Christian III of Smithfield, RI, two step-children, Damion Medeiros of Smithfield, RI, and Keeley Medeiros of Oceanside, CA, six grandchildren, Loralie Medeiros, Kaylee Medeiros, Andrew Medeiros, Kiara Medeiros, Clifford Christian IV, and Ashley Hawthorn, three brothers, Christopher Benoit of IL, Jeffrey Benoit of Fitchburg, and Douglas Benoit of Turners Falls, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Cynthia was born in Worcester on October 24, 1948, a daughter of the late Robert and Delta (Collins) Benoit. She grew up in Hubbardston, and graduated from Athol High School in 1966. In addition, she graduated from Graphic Arts School in Manchester, NH. Cynthia worked in quality control, and as a spokesperson for Boston Scientific. She was a member of the Leominster Sportsman's club. Cynthia had a passion for music, she loved to sing and play the piano and the accordion, she also enjoyed gardening and her grandchildren. This sums up Cynthia, music, mother earth and her grandchildren.

MEDEIROS -- Funeral Services for Cynthia will be held on Thursday, February 27, 2014, at 11:00 am, in the Westminster Chapel of the Sawyer-Miller-Masciarelli Funeral Homes, 123 Main Street, Westminster, MA.

Burial will be private.

Calling Hours will be in the Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 26, 2014 from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m.
