LEOMINSTER -- David A. Gladding, 83, of 30 Palm St., died Saturday, June 28, in HealthAlliance Hospital/Leominster.
Mr. Gladding was born on Feb. 22, 1920, in Worcester, the son of Ernest and Eva Gladding.
He worked as an auto and truck mechanic for 42 years for Murphy Oil and Buick, and also worked for East Side Oil of Leominster before retiring.
He was a member of St. Cecilia’s Church in Leominster. He was also a member of the Hobby Crafters.
Mr. Gladding is survived by his wife of 57 years, Cecile (Bolduc) Gladding of Leominster; one son, Lawrence D. Gladding of Leominster; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Robert Gladding.
GLADDING -- On June 28, David A. Gladding, 83, of Leominster. The funeral will be held Wednesday, July 2, from Wright-Roy Funeral Home, 109 West St., Leominster with a Mass at noon in St. Cecilia’s Church, 168 Mechanic St., Leominster. Burial will be in St. Cecilia’s Church, Leominster. Calling hours in the funeral home are Tuesday, July 1, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Flowers may be sent or memorial donations made to the St. Cecilia’s Restoration Fund, 168 Mechanic St., Leominster, Mass. 01453.
