Coit Gladding Obituary
Son of the late Coit H. Gladding and Margaret T. Gladding. Born in Middletown on November 16, 1959. Coit grew up in Middlefield, CT on Lake Beseck with his 3 brothers, and later moving to Northford, CT where he met the love of his life. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved fishing and hunting. He was a hardworking man, working a majority of his life in construction as a heavy machine operator, and the last two decades as a sheet metal worker, where he worked side by side with his son.
Coit is survived by his wife of 46 years, Cheryl (Handy) Gladding, their three children, John Gladding (Tiffany) of East Haven, Melissa Gladding (Christopher) of North Branford, Jennifer Myrick (Monique) of Branford, six grand children; Anthony, Makayla, Nicholas, Kailey, Ensley, & Maverick, and many nieces, nephews, and friends. Coit was predeceased by their son Daniel Gladding.
Family and friends are invited to meet and attend a Memorial Service on Saturday, January 17th at 11:00 AM, in the North Branford Congregational Church, 1680 Foxon Blvd., North Branford CT 06471.

Johnny, so sorry to hear the news about your dad! The bond you shared as father and son, and as work partners, was truly special. He clearly was a man whose values and work ethic live on though you! His legacy will continue through the work you do and the lives he touched. wishing you strength, comfort and peace in the days ahead.
