I thought of Dr Taylor again just the other day. I've worked with (and been in the care of) many doctors over the years, but Dr Taylor was in a realm above. I went to him when needing GI help in the worst way. Unlike the others, he believed what I knew to be true, and from there he assisted me back to health where I have been able to thrive ever since.
He always made so much more of any appointment by adding a word about crate training of dogs, heirloom apples....
The genuine article.

Almost 5 years since we lost Dr. Taylor, and I was just thinking the other day what great rants he would have gone on about the whole Covid situation. If anyone would have a strong opinion on that whole mess, it would have been him! I can kind of hear him in my head saying "This whole situation is just ridiculous, what they SHOULD be doing is this..." That would have been a great conversation!

I´m just now learning of Dr Taylor´s passing. He was an amazing doctor and human being. His kind words, patience, and compassion for human beings, medicine, and life went to the ends of the world. He was one of the best Doctors/Specialists I have ever seen; so good that he fixed me up and after a couple follow ups I never had any reoccurring symptoms and is the reason why I´m just reading about his passing. I use to absolutely love listening to his Ireland accent! My condolences to his wife, children, siblings, grandchildren, colleagues, and ALL of us patients out there. Now that I know, he will be truly missed and never forgotten

Because of leaving the area, we just learned of Dr. Taylor´s passing.
Both my husband I were long time patients in his practice at Leominster Hospital. A truly excellent doctor, knowledgeable, accessible, understanding. When I as a young stressed exhausted mother and teacher, he diagnosed me with pneumonia, writing a note to make clear to my principal that I was to stay out of school to recuperate, and I would not return until he indicated that I could do so. Rest In Peace, dear doctor.

Very sorry to read this about Edmund. Sending condolences to Daphne and the kids. I still tell the Doty of night hunting with Edmund (learned why Daphne always drove!) almost hitting a big sow, nearly being shot at in front of a derelict house and getting lost in the swamp out by the Swift River, all in one night. Godspeed my friend.

I did not know Dr. Taylor, but I recently bought his sailboat, Emma Zeke. I can tell that he took very good care of his boat and I will endeavor to keep it pristine in his memory. I would like to thank Cecily Walsh and family for giving me a good deal on the boat. I'm a fixed income senior and I plan to take Emma Zeke south and live on her long term. I am from Tenants Harbor, Maine. If anybody knows the origin of the name Emma Zeke, I'd be pleased to know. Thanks, and my condolences to your family. Peter Kick. [email protected]

So very sorry to hear about Dr. Taylor. My husband and I just heard two weeks ago. He was my father's doctor and later, my husband's. Smart, kind, gentle. Anyone I've mentioned his passing to has expressed sadness and commented about how much they will miss him. We will, as well. The qualities this man embodied can't be taught, but hopefully emulated by others. Many blessings to his family.

As I've stated to many, Dr. Taylor is the very best doctor I've ever had. Brilliant yet down to earth, he had an open mind to blend medicine with solid wisdom. I always appreciated his thoughts and advice. Hope his legacy of taking time with patients transfers to other area doctors, it's so needed.
Thank you Dr T for the great conversations and advice on how to optimize my health.

My doctor, my mentor, my friend. I worked with him for many years, I was his patient for many more. I always respected and admired him. After an appointment we would sit and talk..gardening, politics, families. How he loved his family. My condolences to them. They lost a great man.

Being a patient of his for many years was an honor. After a procedure ,I awoke from the anesthesia and he was sitting next to my bed asking me how I felt. After telling him I felt pretty good, he asked me how my garden and the daylilies especially were doing, as we often talked about gardening. He then recited a poem to me about a garden that brought tears to my eyes. He then chuckled and said He didn't mean to make me cry . I assured him It wasn't from sadness, but from the kindness in his heart that was presented to me in that way. I will always have this wonderful memory of him. My heartfelt sympathy to you all at this difficult time and hope this little memory of him and all the others that I'm sure will be sent to you by people who had their lives touched by him, will comfort you. He was a very loved man. Rest In Peace, Dr. Taylor.

To the Taylor family, I extend my condolences on the loss of your husband, father and friend.

Dr. T has been my GI doc for 20 years, since 1999 up until the day he went out on leave this year. Over these years, we have had many great chats not only about my illness, but about life and the world in general. Despite my tendency to be stubborn, he always stuck with me, listened to me, and was quick to act and find answers when things weren't going well. He knew me and my health better than any doctor ever has in my 47 years. He is an example of what all doctors should strive to be. I will miss him.

Doc, was and always will be MY primary care physician. I would always be the last patient of the day. Hung around a bit with Mrs McCarthy and enjoyed some tea. I will always consider him a friend. This world has lost a true gentle man. Respect.
