James Flanagan Obituary
Jim was born August 6, 1969, in New Rochelle NY, the son of John and Sandra (Potratz) Flanagan. Besides his parents, he leaves his wife Marybeth (Masciangioli) Flanagan, his son, Logan and daughters, Sarah and Jordan all of Leominster, his sister Sharon Rodriquenz and her husband Jack of Lunenburg, and Colleen Flanagan of Ashby. He also leaves several nieces, nephews, and cousins whom he adored.
Jim graduated from Lunenburg High School in 1987 and received a bachelor's degree from Johnson & Wales University where he was a founding member of the TKE fraternity chapter. He was a Facilities Engineer at James River for many years. Upon starting a family, he dedicated his time to raising Sarah, Logan, and Jordan. He learned to play the bagpipes and became a member of the Worcester Kiltie Band for many years. He loved cooking, listening to music with his kids, coaching their teams, lending a hand to his son's Boy Scout troop, and surrounding himself with family.
The family welcomes any photos that you would like to share for a memory book.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 16, 2022 at 11am at the United Parish of Lunenburg, 39 Main St. Lunenburg. A calling hour will precede the funeral from 10 - 11am in the church. A private burial will follow in St. Leo Cemetery. Leominster. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to a charity of your choice.

My sympathies to the family. Sarah was a classmate of my daughter, and we would meet for play dates, Logan in tow. I always thought Sarah´s dad was such a kind and gentle soul. I´m so sorry Sarah, for loosing your dad. May he Rest In Peace.

I know are now in the loving arms of God, Jimmy. and my prayers and love go out to you Sandy and Marybeth and the children. Will always remember the days when you and the guys met in our basement during the early days of the D & D contests. You always arrived with a big smile and left with one as well. God Bless.
