Secretary - St. Bernard's Church Rectory; 77
FITCHBURG -- Judith A. (McNally) McGuirl, 77, of Fitchburg, passed away Tuesday, June 24, 2014, in Leominster Hospital.
Judy was born in Fitchburg on July 28, 1936, a daughter of the late James and Julia (Seliga) McNally. She graduated from Saint Bernard's Catholic High School.
For many years, Judith worked for Saint Bernard's Rectory as a secretary until her retirement. She also worked for the City of Fitchburg Police Department and the Fitchburg Planning Board. She was a very proud member of Saint Bernard's Church in Fitchburg.
Judy loved planting flowers in her yard, reading, the Christmas season, and celebrating being Irish.
She leaves her children, Patty Bean and her husband, Jeff of Fitchburg, Mark McGuirl of Fitchburg, Colleen Bergeron and her husband, Paul of New Hampshire, Mary Beth Krapf and her husband, David of Fitchburg, Matthew McGuirl and his wife, Dawn of Fitchburg, Kerry McGuirl of Fitchburg; grandchildren, Ryan, Patrick, Brittany, Sean, Michael, Joey, Gregory, Eric, and granddog Clover; siblings, John "Jack" McNally of Westminster, Sheila Philbin of Fitchburg, and Maureen Daoust and her husband, Glen of Fitchburg; many beloved nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Bernard McGuirl in 1998.
McGUIRL -- The funeral will be held from Brandon Funeral Home, 305 Wanoosnoc Rd., Fitchburg on Monday, June 30, with a Mass in Our Lady of the Lake Church, 1400 Main St., Leominster at 10:30 AM. Burial will follow in Saint Bernard's Cemetery. A calling hour will be held prior to the Mass on Monday from 9:00 - 10:00 AM in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family request that memorial contributions be made in Judith's name to Saint Bernard's Elementary School, 254 Summer Street, Fitchburg, MA. 01420.

So sorry to hear of Judes passing. She was such a fun lady to be around. I have many memories of her and my Dad and they would just laugh and laugh. She was one of a kind.
