Lois Chartrand Obituary

Lois Mary Craig Chartrand passed away on Dec 23, 2020 at MetroWest Medical Center in Framingham, MA after a long and heroic battle with heart disease,

Lois was predeceased by her beloved son, Keith, her father, Reid F. Craig, Sr, and a special nephew, Connor McKenna.

She is survived by her mother Alice T. Craig of Fitchburg, brothers Reid F. Craig (Laurana) and Rickey Craig of Eastport, ME and Stephen Craig (Teresa) of Lunenburg, sisters Colleen (Garth) Stillman of Lunenburg, Paula Craig of Winchendon, Gwendolyn (Euclide) Robichaud of Lunenburg, Joyce McDonald of Fitchburg, Janice (Mike) Felton of Lunenburg, and Peggy Craig (Barry) of Shirley, grandchildren Mackagan Chartrand and Jilliena Chartrand and their children, lots and lots of nieces and nephews and their families, aunts, uncles and many cousins.

Lois graduated from Fitchburg High School in 1972. She worked for several years at Anwelt Shoe and LB Evans, and later in life, at Mike's Pizza in Fitchburg.

Loving daughter, sister, mother, aunt, grandmother, cousin and friend, Lois worked hard and helped anyone who needed it. She selflessly cared for her late son and grandchildren. She enjoyed summers in Maine and was afraid of bridges.

Lois will be remembered for her quiet courage, generous spirit, and fierce loyalty to family and friends.

A funeral Mass for Lois will be held on Thursday January 7,2021 at 10a.m. in St. Bernard Parish @ St. Camillus de Lellis Church 333 Mechanic St. Fitchburg, MA. All are welcome to attend. There are no calling hours .In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to: Comfort Zone Camp-Mass Chapter, 6606 West Broad St, Suite 401, Richmond VA 23230 or to the American Heart Association.

All Covid – 19 protocols will be required. A Mask and social distancing is required to enter the church.
