FITCHBURG -- Mark E. Roland, 53, died Thursday April 18, at the Golden Living Center, after a lengthy Illness.

Mark was born in the former Fort Devens Army Hospital, September 9, 1959, the son of James and Marilyn (Slagle) Roland. He grew up in Shirley and attended local schools. He later lived in Bellows Falls, VT and Fox Lake, Illinois
He had been employed as a machinist at the Shanklin Corp. in the 1980's. He had been working for his brother, Jack at Harris Farms in Shirley.

Mark leaves his brothers, James, of Bellows Falls, VT, Patrick of Lebanon, NH, and John of Fitchburg. He also leaves his sisters, Helen Cramer-Roland of Davis, CA, and Beth Moul of Lebanon, NH.

ROLAND -- After cremation, graveside services will be held at a later date in Saxtons River Cemetery in Saxtons River, VT. Bosk Funeral Home, 85 Blossom St. is assisting the family. boskfuneralhome.com
