MT. PLEASANT, S.C. -- Pauline McDurmont Bissonnette, 83, of Mt. Pleasant, S.C., died Monday, Jan. 2.
She was born on Aug. 4, 1922, in Samson, Ala., the daughter of the late Fred L. McDurmont and Lillie Beckham McDurmont.
Mrs. Bissonnette was a retired librarian with the Groton, Massachusetts Public Library and also a member of the Joy Circle at Hibben United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Eva R.M. Fitzgerald, her husband, Richard of Mt. Pleasant, S.C., her son, Paul A. Bissonnette and his wife, Christine, of Boylston, Mass.; two brothers, Bill McDurmont and Bob McDurmont, both of Pensacola, Fla.; two sisters, Blondell Davison of Mt. Pleasant, S.C., and Andree M. Holley, of Panama City, Fla.; five grandsons, Jeffrey L. Fitzgerald, Matthew P. Bissonnette, Andrew P. Bissonnette, Eric A. Bissonnette and Alex C. Bissonnette. She was the wife of the late Albert F. Bissonnette. She was also predeceased by her granddaughter, Alison M. Fitzgerald and her brother Edwin McDurmont.
BISSONNETTE -- On Jan. 2, Pauline McDurmont Bissonnette, 83, of Mt. Pleasant, S.C. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service at Hibben United Methodist Church, Friday, Jan. 6, at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow in Mount Pleasant Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at J. Henry Stuhr Inc., Mount Pleasant Chapel today from 5 to 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Charleston, 3870 Leeds Ave., Suite 101, North Charleston, SC 29405-7493; or Alison M.
