LUNENBURG - Robin R. Kaiser, 86 of Lunenburg, died peacefully Saturday, December 30, 2017, in the Edith Nourse Rogers Memorial Veterans Hospital, Bedford, under the care of their hospice.

Robin was born in Fargo, North Dakota, August 17, 1931. He was a graduate of Bismarck High School, in Bismarck North Dakota, and earned a degree from University of Massachusetts in waste water treatment. Robin was a proud United States Army Veteran. He fought in both the Korean War and the Vietnam War. Robin was awarded the sharpshooter badge, marksman badge and the good conduct medal.

Robin worked for many years as the manager for the Town of Wayland Waste Water Treatment Plant. Robin was an avid photographer. He loved being outside and photographing nature. Several of his photos were published in magazines, newspapers and books. His two favorite places were the Parker River National Wildlife Refuge on Plum Island and the Oxbow National Wildlife Refuge in Harvard, where he took many photos. Robin was a member of the national Audubon Society and loved reading National Geographic. Robin was recognized for his work in cleaning up the Nashua River. In his spare time Robin volunteered at Children's hospitals and with disabled veterans at Veteran's Rehabilitation Centers.

Robin will be missed by his five children, Darlene Souiles of Leominster, Scott Kaiser of Fitchburg, Glenn Kaiser of Worcester, Deborah Wyson of Lunenburg and Christopher Kaiser of Acton; five grandchildren, Kevin Kaiser, Alyssa Wyson, Christina Kaiser, Reese Wyson and Autumn Kaiser; and one sister, Patricia A. Kaiser. Robin was predeceased by his adoptive parents, Charles C. and Marion Q. (Quain) Kaiser.

At Robin's request funeral services will be private for the family. There are no calling hours. The Lunenburg Chapel of Sawyer-Miller-Masciarelli Funeral Homes, 763 Massachusetts Avenue, Lunenburg, is assisting the family with the arrangements. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Edith Nourse Rogers Memorial Veterans Hospital, 200 Springs Rd., Bedford, MA 01730.
