Sarah Fratturelli Obituary

Sarah M. Fratturelli
of Leomintser

LEOMINSTER - Sarah M. (Santore) Fratturelli, 100 years old of Leominster, died Friday, January 11th, at home.

Sarah was born July 30, 1918, in Rensselaer, New York, a daughter of John and Gertrude Santore and came to Leominster many years ago. She leaves her daughter, Kathleen Stallings and her husband Stephen of West Harwich; 6 grandchildren, Tricia, Leah, Matthew, Stephanie, Michael and Benjamin; 13 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild, many nephews and nieces.

Sarah was predeceased by her husband of 44 years, Cesino Fratturelli in 1985, son Donald J. Fratturelli in 1999, daughter-in-law Marilyn Fratturelli in 2012, brother Gus and 6 sisters, Nancy, Palma, Nellie, Mary, Celeste and Blanche.

Sarah was a lifelong member of St. Anna's Parish in Leominster, and worked for many years at Tucker Houseware, where she retired. She was passionate and supportive of her community and was often seen walking throughout Leominster with a genuine smile on her face. She was an avid sports fan who rarely missed a Red Sox or Patriots game. She enjoyed cooking and was known for her homemade cuisine and recipes. Most importantly she cherished spending time with her loving family and friends whether on "the Terrace", Cape Cod, or in her LaPierre Building.

Kathy and Steve~ I'm so sorry to hear the passing of your mom. When I worked for you at Subway, she would always come in with a smile on her face and kind words for all of us. I will keep you all in my thoughts and prayers.

Kathy and family. So sorry to hear of your mom's passing. She was the nicest lady. My mom and her made good working partners at Tucker. Hope they meet in heaven and talk of the old days.

Sarah was a spunky lady who had a smile for everyone. My mother Marion Celli enjoyed lunches with her at Spruce Street. We all are fortunate to have had her in our lives. Go Pats she would be saying today. Rip Sarah. Fondly, Carol Celli Racine
