I just heard. I'm sorry to hear of Dorothy passing. I met the Pikes while I was serving my mission. I sever in the Flint ward for 6 month and we found ourselves at the Pike's often. In fact when I think of the Pike's I remember the one day Sister Boone and I ( Sister Knight) was there on a cold winter day. We were having hot chocolate and I broke one of Dorothy favorite mugs. Every time I have hot chocolate I think of it. She was sad, and she was so kind about it. She told me no worries. I really loved her, Rich and Heather. We were there in their home to teach their friends and because they took care of us. Thank you for all you did for us.

We are sorry to hear about Dotty's passing as she was a very dear friend to us while we were serving an L.D.S. mission in Michigan in 2011-2012. Her uplifting nature, her example of staying positive, her good-heartedness and natural gift of giving to others influenced us a great deal. While we know she is in a wonderful place and happy to be free of her earthly problems, we also know that there will be many who will miss her greatly. She will always be in our hearts and we only wish we could have said thank you one more time. Her family will be in our prayers.
