Joseph Maurice Wright

Wright, Joseph Maurice Linden formerly of Fenton Age 78, passed away Saturday, March 4, 2023. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 2:00 PM Wednesday, March 8, 2023 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church (A live stream of the Mass will be available on Joe's obituary page at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com). Fr. David Harvey celebrant. Visitation will be held at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton Tuesday from 1-4 and 6-9 PM and at church Wednesday from 1:00 PM until the time of the Mass. Those desiring may make contributions to The Assistance Fund, 4700 Millenia Blvd., Orlando, FL 32839. Joe was born July 14, 1944 in Wyandotte, the son of Robert and Marie (Robichaud) Wright. He was a 1962 graduate of Fenton High School. He married Kay Louise VanBuren August 23, 1968 in Fenton. He had resided in Linden from the past 7 years coming from Fenton. Joe retired in 2010 from Contour Fabricators; he had also worked for Sutter Products, Atlas Automation, Excel and TMI. He was part owner and operated Tek-Matik and Integration Systems. He was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus Fenton Council #7418. He enjoyed refinishing violins, building model airplanes, fishing, playing cribbage, Ham Radio's and motocycling. Surviving are: his wife, Kay; daughter, Jody (Morris) Ayliffe of Byron; son, Brad (Jennifer) Wright of Fenton; grandchildren, Jailen (Abenezer Teklu) Judson, Avery Ayliffe (fiance', Travis Zilliox), Adeline Wright, Macy Wright, Joseph Wright and Morris Ayliffe III; brothers, Dan, Rick and Paul Wright; sisters, Delores Koscielski, Gloria Wright and Renee Wright; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Michael Wright; and sister, Geralynn Burkett.
