II Bill passed away on September 20, 2025, at the age of seventy-two, after a six-year battle with primary progressive aphasia. Born in West Palm Beach, FL to William E. McIntyre and Pauline Kishpaugh, he was the oldest of two children. He graduated from Forest Hills High School in 1971 in West Palm Beach and joined the Air Force shortly after. The Air Force brought him to Key West in 1974, where he served for four years. Bill grew up fishing on Lake Worth Pier and after his military service earned a living selling tropical fish, he caught while snorkeling. Bill found his career opportunity with UPS in Key West, where he worked for twenty-four years, managing the local office for seventeen years. Bill started a family in the late 1970's and had two daughters Natalee & Sabrina. After retiring from UPS, Bill embarked on ten-year career with Historic Tours of America, driving the famous Conch Tour Trains (CTT). His wit and ability to supervise led to his promotion to lead driver, where he trained and supervised the train drivers. In 2007 after a four-year courtship, Bill married Melissa Blazevic, who stayed by his side until his passing. The last few years he resided in Key West he worked in sales for CTT serving as the liaison for the cruise ships. Bill spent 29 years in Key West raising his daughters, playing tennis, golf and traveling with his wife. His favorite past time was going to the movies, stemming back from his days working as an usher in high school at Carefree Movie Theater. In 2013 Bill and Melissa moved to Tampa and then Lakeland, to be closer to his daughters and grandchildren. In 2019 Melissa became Bill's full-time caregiver, she became his voice through the good times and the bad. For those of us who loved Bill, we know he never met a stranger and had the gift for gab and the best sense of humor. Bill was a true Conch at heart and his 1000-watt smile lit up rooms and warmed many hearts, he will truly be missed.
