EJ, I can't believe you've been gone 4 years. It's still as much of a loss for me today, as it was then. We did some crazy things together, and boy, did we have some fun. As for the crazy things we did, I will just leave it at that. I'm sure families read these things. LOL You are still missed, loved, cared about, and thought about, and only the fact that you are with the angels makes the sadness and pain of your passing slowly fade away. And were you not my best friend in high school, I'm sure I would have still enjoyed it and had a good time, but not the same good times, and I'm sure not as good as the good times we shared. Of course there were other people involved with all of that as well, at least for a great deal of it, but there were also the times when it was just you and me. I remember going out shrimping with you, and sometimes your dad also, but lots of times it would be just us. I remember when you got your first casting net and going out with you casting for mullet. Of course you weren't very good at first, but it didn't take you long. Then you would cast it out and it would open perfectly and land where you threw it. And when you pulled it in, there would always be some mullet. It didn't take you very long to get the hang of anything that had to do with the water, or fishing, or boating. I could go on, but you already know all of this as do anybody who was ever close to you do. I guess simply stated, you made the good times better and that is not always an easy thing to do. It's nice talking with you, even like this, but I'm sure you are chomping at the bit to get out there and do some fishing, so I will let you. But I'm sure, I'll be back again next year. Until then hope you have nothing but smooth sailing, and of course always catch your limit. And thanks again for being my friend, that did and still does mean a lot to me. Love you EJ. Scorps forever.

It is hard to believe that it has been a year since you left us EJ. Though you are gone, you are not forgotten. Your friends and family still miss and think about you, but we know that you are in a better place. Though that doesn't make it a lot easier, it does give us some comfort. I still think about you and the crazy things we did, and that also provides a measure of comfort. You made high school so much more fun than it would have been, and I continue to feel blessed that you were my best friend and accomplice during those years. God bless you my friend, now get back to your fishing. I know they are always biting where you are now. Thank you for being a part of my life. RIP my friend.

EJ, you were my best friend in high school, and for many years after. We had many fun times together, and I will never forget them or you. You will be missed by many. I wish we hadn't lost touch with each other, but nothing I can do about that now. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Rest in Peace my friend, and enjoy the fishing in Heaven, where you now reside. Your Friend, Terry Evans

E.J. is and always will be a very special and unique person to me. He was so interesting and knew so much about the rarest things. I will forever miss knowing he is not there to answer those questions I knew only he could answer... love you forever
