Violet M. Betz

January 4, 2007

I, Violet M. Betz want to express my sympathy to the whole family and especially to Shirley. I know this will be a difficult time after 60 years of marriage and I want you to know that my prayers are with you. I will always remember Fred being the nearest to a brother I ever had. When my late husband, Charles and I were married the whole family welcomed me and helped me to feel a part of the family. I have many wonderful memories to brighten my days. God rest his soul.

Richard Betz

December 31, 2006

We all have such fond memories of my Uncle Fred - his sparkling sense of humor, his gentle nature, his puns and jokes that used to brighten every family get-together as we were growing up! To have brightened up so many lives is a wonderful legacy to leave behind.
Violet, Richard, Martha, and Katy Betz in North Carolina all want Shirley and the family to know that Fred will be greatly missed, and our thoughts and prayers are with them.
