Kimmie, as I would call him that and have called him that since we met, and that would be one summer back when we moved to COCOA BEACH , FLORIDA.in 1957..Yes the sunshine and surfing capital of the world...well one of them....He was the twin brother to my sweet lifelong friend, Cathy....we all have such good memories of running and playing all day in the summers. We would be barefoot and sometimes playing in puddles after a summers rain , getting ringworm too boot and not so nice either...but we kept on going playing like kiddos do...forts built out of wood (3 stories along side of a swaying Australian pine in the back corner of their home...we would all pile up there and listen to the oceon waves beating our long and beautiful undisturbed shoreline with the noises from the sandbar across the street and the Vanguard hotel that stood right with 100 ft. of the ocean itself.....we spent many an evening talking under the stars and getting our hairs up with the differences of our opinions even then....Kim was so sweet to me , but of course being a boy he wasn't always kind to me, and that would depend on entirely of how his day was going with the rest of his siblings , and Mom n Dad who by the way kept him in pretty close check at least until he knew how to get away with things like kids did ...We really never did bad things per say ...But we sure played hard and sometimes got hurt doing so...I remember Kim building forts with his friends and brothers out in the oceon dunes that lay just across the street from their home...they were not just any little forts...they sometimes would wind around and deeper then they should have because they used their Dads shovel I am certain and then would sometimes lay the boards they found around the neighborhood , which by the way no one would ever miss....and the sand was placed on top...WELL, it is a wonder and a complete miracle that those darn boards didn't just cave on in on top of their heads....Of course I was the major scaredy cat and would not go into those forsaken caves ...and passages .....but then Kim would chide me and there I would go biting my tongue off to do it just to show him...so he wouldn't tease me...Kimmie...those were the days and we had the best of times...more memories to come as my older mind thinks of them...Lia Parker grassman...... Sweet SUSAN....you are in our prayers as you go on without Kim along side of you...You are not alone ...Always , remember that God is there for you and that you will see him again
