Marcus Delman Obituary
Marcus Taylor Delman, 25, died unexpectedly in his sleep, July 22, 2012 in Bradenton, FL. He was born on January 5, 1987 in Melbourne, FL to Dennis and Melanie Delman. He grew up in Melbourne with his sister, Laura. As a youth he enjoyed playing sports including soccer, roller hockey, basketball and football, along with many fun years in Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts.
Marcus was a graduate of Melbourne High School, Brevard Community College, and the University of Central Florida, where he earned a bachelor's degree in Information Systems Technology.
Marcus loved computers and technology and could often be found helping others with computer repairs. His other hobbies included sport video games, following professional football and basketball teams, watching movies and making adventure home movies with his friends. He was especially fond of comedy tv shows. He was extremely social and loved being around people.
Marcus had a larger-than-life personality and charm that touched many lives and made him special to so many people. With his big heart, radiant smile and great laugh, he was fun to be around and a friend to all.
He was employed by Foremost Fence of Bradenton, FL where he was thriving in a successful career.
Marcus is survived by his parents, Dennis and Melanie of Melbourne, FL; sister, Laura of New York, NY; and a grandmother. He will be deeply missed by his family, many friends and relatives.
A memorial service will be held at 4 pm on Sunday, July 29th at First United Methodist Church, 110 E. New Haven Ave., Melbourne. A reception will follow the service.

I was thinking about Marcus today. I read all the great posts that all these good people posted about Marcus and realized that I never did make a post. So here it goes; for as long as I can remember having a friend I remember Marcus being my friend. We grew up together and since neither one of us had a brother, we´d lean on each other for certain things that I imagine most boys who grow up without a brother do. When you are young things seem to feel like they´ll last forever. Then as you grow up life teaches you lessons that you otherwise would not learn unless you went thru it. Marcus and I went thru a lot together. From the best of times to damn near fighting, we went thru a lot. People come and go and the memories of some folks fade quicker than memories of others, but some people are special and Marcus was one of them. The memories I have of me, Marcus, and the rest of us West Melbourne boys growing up will fade, but they´ll never be forgotten. I guess somethings do last forever, I just wish it would have been our friendship and not this, I miss you brother. I´m sorry it took me so long to make a post for you. I hope that Melanie, Dennis, and Laura are doing well and I always thought y´all treated me well as a friend of Marcus. I wish things turned out differently for you old friend, I know if you were still around things would be different.

Dear Melanie and Dennis, I was shocked yesterday to see Marcus' name on the All Saints' Day list of those lost from First United Methodist Church this past year. Rob and I are so very sorry for your loss.
We have such great memories of Marcus during his Scouting days with Chris, as well as what a good friend Marcus was to Margaret while at Mel Hi together.

We are so very sorry for your loss. Marcus grew into a wonderful young man although our memories of him are when he was just a little boy. We remember when Dennis and Melanie brought their new baby Marcus to our house and he was fasinated with our cat. Marcus wasn't walking and Dennis held his fingers to help him take a few steps. As Marcus grew he became even more inquisitive and we found him able to eventually pick kitty up! Then came playgroups where Marcus could team up with his buddies to pursue even better conquests. It doesn't seem like it was that long ago. Marcus obviously grew up to become a kind, caring and hardworking guy who loved life. Our hearts go out to Melanie, Dennis and Laura for such a tragic loss. We are always here if you need us.

I remember growing up around Marcus. He was always surrounded by friends, making everyone laugh. This guest book is only a small fraction of the lives that he touched in his time here. We are all blessed to have known him.

You know how much your family and Marcus mean to me. I am so saddened by his passing, but I only remember how much happiness he brought to my life. As I read everyone's comments and stories, tears streamed down my face in joy to know that he touched so many people's lives as he does ours. There is no doubt in my mind that his vibrant memory will live on as long as we do, because people remember how you make them feel, not necessarily what you say. You don't know me but your story about Dennis is very close to the story of my 22 year old brother that was killed in a car accident on June 29, 2012. Marcus' life paralleled Shaun's life in so many ways including the IT and sports enjoyment. Shaun also never met a stranger. I'm right there with you emotionally and know the shock you are living. All the other kids thought Marcus was the coolest kid in playgroup. Although I saw him a few times as an adult, he will be forever young in my heart. Last time I saw Melanie I heard all about how she and Dennis were so proud of the adult he had grown into. My heart is breaking for his family and friends.

Marcus was a GREAT student, his cardboard box computer was on display in the lab long after he graduated BCC. He had an incredible desire to understand and fix computers and his happy, fun loving attitude brought a smile to everyone in the lab. The hearts of many are sadden today, but the memories (NERDS) will light up our hearts and make us smile when we think of you.

Im at a loss for words, I went to school with Marcus and we were great friends. Even after not talking for a couple years the minute we reunited it was kinda like no time had passed at all.
