Pete Santana Obituary

Pete R. Santana 5/13/1935 to 5/30/2012 Pete R Santana, passed away May 30, 2012 at the age of 77 after a brief illness. He was born in Seville, CA on May 13, 1935, the only son and eldest living child of the late Esteban and Aurora Santana. He attended school at Stone Coral and Woodlake High School. In 1958, he was called into military service and served in the United States Army in Korea. He was honored to be a called a US Veteran. Following his return to California, he married Dolores Garcia of Visalia, CA and they established their home in Visalia and raised 3 children. Pete was a proud husband and father who took joy in spending time with his family. He worked as a fabricator for Kawneer Co. for 35 years until his retirement. He is survived by his wife, Dolores Santana, of Visalia; one daughter, Judy (Brad) Hayes of Winters, CA; one son, Steven (Shandra) Santana of Visalia; five sisters, Clara Santana and Mary Gallo of Seville, Frances Santana of Visalia, JosephineVillicana of Ivanhoe and Tomasa Falcon of Azusa; and numerous nephews and nieces. He was also greatly loved by eight grandchildren: Matthew Hayes, Sara Hayes, Nicholas Hayes and Amanda (Julian) Rivera, all of Winters, CA; Samantha (Drew) Hood of Lemoore, CA; Kristen Spurlock of Angwin, CA; Stevie Santana and Wyatt Santana of Visalia, CA and one great granddaughter, Amaya Rivera. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Corine Spurlock and one sister Pauline Espero. Holy Rosary will be recited Tuesday, June 5 at 6pm, Miller Memorial Chapel, 1120 W. Goshen Ave., Visalia, CA. Church service will be held at Holy Family Catholic Church 1908 North Court Street, Visalia, Ca. on Wednesday, June 6, 2012 at 10:00 am. Condolences may be offered at www.millerchapel.com.

I know that its been so many years sense he has passed away but I thank you all for for saying such great things about my grandpa I always think of how much of a man that he was even though that it has been so hard on because he passed two days before my birthday when ever I have the chance to see him I do.
