Richard Madden Obituary
Charlotte, NC
Richard Madden, 56, of Charlotte, died January 28, 2014. He was born in Fort Lauderdale, FL on August 12, 1957 to Patricia and the late Richard Madden. Survivors include his wife, Gay Madden; daughters, Kathleen Madden of Charleston, SC, and Kelly Ann Madden of Black Mountain, as well as siblings, Eileen Manske (Robert), Patrick Madden (Terry) and nieces and nephews - Patrick Madden, Jr., Jena Madden, Kyle Madden, and Tommy Madden. Mr. Madden was preceded in death by his sister, Donna Madden. He leaves behind many loving aunts, uncles and cousins. Rick received his undergraduate and J.D. degrees from University of Florida. He was a partner with Cadwalader, Wickersham and Taft. A funeral mass to celebrate his life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 4th at St. Gabriel Catholic Church, 3016 Providence Rd. A visitation will precede funeral mass at 9:00 a.m. at St. Gabriel's. A reception will immediately follow the mass at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Mr. Madden's name to The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation at www.jdrf.org. T.H.
