ROBERT STEELE Obituary

Robert "Bob" Steele Rockledge Robert "Bob" Steele, of Rockledge, FL and beloved husband of Nancy Steele, entered into rest Friday, August 6, 2010. Bob was born in Barnesboro, PA. He attended business college in Johnstown, PA and founded Bob Steele Chevrolet in 1976. He was a member of Rockledge Country Club, and Divine Mercy Catholic Church and served his country in the US Navy Reserve. Bob is survived by his loving wife, Nancy Little Steele; sons, David Steele of Rockledge and Kevin (Peggy) Steele of Merritt Island; four grandchildren, Robert, Michael, Julie and Jennifer; brother, Butch; and sisters, Bertie, Peggy, Janet and Betsy. A Memorial Mass will be held Tuesday, August 10, 2010 at 10 a.m. at Divine Mercy Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers memori als may be made to Divine Mercy Catholic School, 1940 N. Courtenay Park way, Merritt Island, FL, 32953. Arrangements made through Wylie-Baxley Funeral Home.

Dear Mrs.Steele,Kevin,and David; I also, worked with all of you many years ago in the early 70's, in the parts dept.when it was Bill Hedleston Chev. You boys were just teens then,like me, and your dad was the gen mgr. Your dad was such a kind,devoted,professional with a heart as big as all outdoors.I was involved in a horrific, auto accident in 1973, and was working with Frank Virginis,and between the your dad and Frank, my job was held open for me,until I got well enough to go back to work.Those days were hard for me, but Mr.Steele was kind and generous enough to make sure I was taken care of. To your whole family, I just wanted to say "thankyou" for all the kinds things he did. I am so very saddened by his passing, and my prayers for family strength,and a mending of those broken hearts, you now have. Through God's grace, I pray for Him to lighten your load. God Bless. Our prayers are with the Steele family, Mr. Steele will be missed by many however his legacy will live on through his family. I worked a short time with Mr. Steele and his sons and can say they were and are a great family. I'm confident that Kevin and David will honor him in continuing his work in our community. I'm so sorry for your loss

Words cannot express the heartbreak I feel for the entire Steele family. Having worked for Mr. Steele for many years now,I can say it was a joy to see him walking through the shop and always greet you by name and ask how you were. He will be missed and his memory will remain with us always. This is not good bye, but rather I'll see you again sometime in the future my friend.

Although it has been more than thirty years since I worked as a title clerk for Bob Steele, during that time I learned to respect and admire both him and his entire family, he was a wonderful employer and always let you know he really cared about you.

I always enjoyed running into him at he dealership from time to time, having the opportunity to laugh and talk with him, remembering watching both David and Kevin growing from the young school boys they were at that time, into the men they are today, which is a tribute to both Bob and Nancy. Proudly all these years later, my son has been a technician at the dealership for several years and has had the opportunity and pleasure of getting to know him as well.

Our deepest heart felt sympathy and prayers reach out to each and every member of your family. He will be missed by not only his family and friends, but by his employees, church members and others who knew him. We are so sorry for your loss and may you find peace in knowing he is wrapped in the arms of Jesus, and in holding onto all the wonderful memories you have made together.
