Stephen Alex Cook

1974 - 2005

STEVE COOK CORVALLIS, OREGON Steve Cook was born in Masssapequa, NY on July 12, 1974 where he attended St. Rose of Lima grammar school. He moved to Merritt Island Florida with his family in 1988. Steve attended Jefferson Middle School and graduated from Merritt Island High School. Steve loved skateboarding and surfing but the real love of his life was DJing and he did his fair share of all of these before moving to Ashland, Oregon in the summer of 2000. Steve spent some years traveling in Oregon, California and Mexico before deciding to go back to school. He was attending Linn-Benton Community College in Corvallis, Oregon where he hoped to earn a degree in Culinary Arts. Steve was very proud of the fact that he was on the Deans List. Steve is survived by his parents Bill and Pat Cook of Merritt Island, his brothers Bill (Elika) of Austin, Texas and Christopher (Tara) of Ashland, Oregon and his fiancee Rosie Sills of Corvallis, Oregon. He also leaves behind an extended family of Uncles, Aunts, Cousins and Friends and his beloved Dobie Baboon. Steve died suddenly in his sleep on December 10th, 2005. Services were held in Ashland, Oregon and his remains were brought home to Merritt Island. Our hearts are broken with this loss but we know that Steve has a big grin on his face because he is once again with Beth and Brandon.
