Amy Rice Obituary

WATERLOO - Amy B. Rice, 54, passed away Saturday (November 6, 2021) at Geneva General Hospital, with her family by her side.

Friends and family may call from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday (November 11) at Mull Funeral Home, 113 Virginia Street, Waterloo.

A graveside service will be at 10 a.m. on Friday (November 12) in Maple Grove Cemetery.

Amy was born August 21, 1967, in Geneva, N.Y., the daughter of William Eugene and DeNelle Jane (Strang) Brewer. She was a 1986 graduate of Waterloo High School. Amy was a sales associate for Ames Department Store, Big Dogs at the Outlet Mall and WalMart in Seneca Falls, for 10 years when she retired. Most important thing in Amy's day, was spending time with her grandchildren. She also enjoyed collecting, tweet birds, snowman, anything with angels and taking walks with her mother-in-law.

Amy is survived by her husband, Steven J. Rice, whom she married on April 11, 1987; a daughter, Veronica (Jeffery) Arno; a son, Steve Rice; her grandchildren, Drake, Gavin, Gabriella Arno and one on the way; her sisters, Alice (Frank) Diddona, Sharon Shoemaker and Barbara (Randy) McBride; brothers, Howard (Marilyn) and Eugene (Ginny) Brewer; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her sisters, Eleanor L. Simon and Christine Meckley; and brother, Donnie A. Brewer.

Mom I miss you so much and so do your grandkids. I miss being able to talk to you about anything and everything. I miss our times we played card games and you playing with my kids and acting silly with them. We love you so much may you rest in peace now.
