Anthony J. "Tony" Paradise

1942 - 2021

SENECA FALLS – Anthony "Tony" J. Paradise passed away on Monday (March 1, 2021).

Calling Hours will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Saturday (March 6) with a funeral service to immediately follow, at Doran Funeral Home, 4 East Bayard St., Seneca Falls, N.Y. Interment, St. Columbkille Cemetery, Seneca Falls.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Finger Lakes DDSO, 119 Mynderse St., Seneca Falls, NY 13148. The family would like to thank the staff at Huntington Living Center in Waterloo for their wonderful care of Anthony.

Anthony was born in Seneca Falls, the son of the late Anthony and Josephine (Zona) Paradise, on June 26, 1942. He was a lifelong resident of Seneca Falls, and attended Mynderse Academy. For many years he operated Tony's Bike Shop in Seneca Falls and also retired from Goulds Pumps. He was a member of the Magee Vol. Fire Department, where he enjoyed calling bingo, and also a member of the Seneca County Fire Police. In his younger years, Tony enjoyed hunting, fishing, and especially camping with his family. Family was everything to Tony. He enjoyed spending time with his kids and especially his nine grandchildren. Tony and his late wife, Phyllis, enjoyed visiting garage sales and antiquing. He enjoyed classic cars, assembling model cars, planes, trucks, and boats and had quite the green thumb.

Tony is survived by his sons Anthony J. Jr., David (Karen), Kenneth, Timothy, Christopher (Christy); daughter, Michelle Paradise; grandchildren Nicholas, Brandon, Andrew, Corey, Connor, Adam, Madison, Karrina, Kaicee; great-grandchildren Anthony and Elizabeth; brothers Louis and Charles (Ellie) Paradise; sisters Connie (Charles) Hyde, Diane (Jeff Hobbs) Paradise, and Mary Ann (Ron) Scrivner.

He is predeceased by his loving wife of 61 years, Phyllis; infant daughter, Deborah; brothers Dominick and Thomas; and sister, Margaret Walters.
