Bernard Diduro Obituary
A Graveside services will be held on Friday, (September 1) at 11 a.m. at St. Mary's Cemetery, Geneva, N.Y.
A funeral mass was held at the Church of the Resurrection in Fort Myers, Fla.
Bernie was born in Geneva the son of the late Donato and Lucia DiDuro. He is a 1954 graduate of DeSales High School. He began working at the American Can Co. in September 1954. After serving in the US Navy he returned to the American Can Co. where he was employed through July 1989. He then was employed by the IAM and Aerospace Workers as a business representative until June 30, 1999.Bernie is a life time member and past Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus Council 272 and past Faithful Navigator of the 4th Degree, a member of the American Legion Post 396 and a former member of the Color Guard and a retired member of the IAM Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers. Bernie and the love of his life, his wife Janice, retired and lived in Seven Lakes Golf and Tennis Community where he served on the Board of Directors from March 2011 – February 2015. In addition to Janice, he is survived by his son, Bernard (BJ).
Bernie is also survived by sisters-in-law Teresa Cocola, Virginia (Dom) Cotroneo and Carol (Alex) Addona and cousins and nieces and nephews.
Bernie was predeceased by his daughter, Lucinda M. DiDuro; brothers Pat (Rose) and Anthony (Ronnie) DiDuro; sisters Ann (Tony) Glieco, Phil (Joe) Benedetti; parents-in-law Nick and Carmella Acquilano and brothers-in-law Al Cervo and Richie Cocola.

Janice, I was so sorry to hear the news of Bernie's passing. He was such a nice person. I will always remember the nice talk I had with him this past Spring about the old days in Geneva. You have my prayers.
