Bernice DeRoose Obituary

LYONS– Bernice E.T. DeRoose, 76, passed away on Saturday (April 1, 2017).
Family and friends may call from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Wednesday (April 5, 2017) at Weeks-Keysor Funeral Home, 5 Phelps St., Lyons, where a funeral service will follow at 12 p.m. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery, Lyons.
Contributions, in her memory, may be made to the Humane Society of Wayne County, 1475 County House Rd. Lyons, NY 14489.
Bernice was born July 21, 1940 in Lyons, a daughter of John L. and Bernice E. Tinney Johnson. In her younger years, she was a musician, loved animals and enjoyed traveling with her late husband, Albert.
She is survived by her son, Richard Covey; two daughters Debbie Mann and Rebecca Remington; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; five siblings Cynthia (Michael) Dennis of Fla., Brion Johnson of Ariz., Jay (Malinda) Johnson of Westfield, N.Y., Lloyd (Carmen) Johnson of Spain, and Jane (Bill) Mott of Lyons; brother-in-law, Anthony Giambra of Brocton, N.Y.; several nieces and nephews; and many very special friends.
She was predeceased by her husband, Albert, in 2004; son, Timothy Mann; and sisters Sarah Giambra and Ruth Muir.
